Job Description

Six Flags Over Georgia has a thrilling career opportunity for a skilled, creative, and qualified individual in our Maintenance division as a Paint Foreman! This position is responsible for leading the Paint shop, overseeing a crew of painters, and executing various paint projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to work orders to determine type of paint required, create material lists for project execution
  • Select premixed paints, or mix required portions of pigment to tint base and match colors.
  • Utilize various preparation methods to ensure coatings are applied in the appropriate manner and proper adhesion is achieved.
  • Utilize paint brushes, spray guns or paint rollers to apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel or lacquer in various applications (interior, exterior, automotive and specialty applications).
  • Removing interior/exterior fixtures prior to completing paint project and replace when complete.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Adhere to park policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Pay Range: $27.34-36.98 per hour

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years commercial painting experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to professionally interact with other shops and various departments.
  • Ability to write, speak and understand English with strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and work orders.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting, bending, standing for long periods of time, climbing, and working at heights up to 200 ft.
  • Ability to comply with safety protocols for being exposed to fumes airborne particles (ability to wear a respirator).
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with EPD regulations for paint/fume control
  • Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, nights, weekends and holidays.
