Job Description

ASRC Federal Netcentric Technology, LLC (NetC) is seeking a Painter to support our Kirtland AFB Engineering Operations Services (KEOS) contract for the US Air Force in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Summary

This position performs general inspection, repair, and general maintenance of building exterior and interior to preserve integrity of water seal and to promote energy conservation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set up scaffolding to provide safe access to paint exterior.
  • Paint, patch and seal exterior and interior surfaces.
  • Patch, repair, and apply stucco.
  • Paint interior of facilities.
  • Prepares orders of supplies.
  • Keeps daily reports, records, rounds and reading for assigned equipment.
  • Schedules and coordinates own work in cooperation with other Technicians.
  • Work with customers and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
Requirements:
  • High School graduation or GED.
  • Minimum 6 months residential or commercial painting experience required.
  • Experience performing facility maintenance, improvements, or repairs.
  • Be competent in basic mathematic skills including fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Be capable of working independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Be able to work overtime, be called-in when needed, and be willing to work a flexible work schedule and alternating workdays to meet mission and customer requirements.
  • Provide recommendations and suggestions for work methods and process improvements.
  • Possess competent and effective computer skills to include using Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Must have proficient English oral and written communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with employees, management, and customers.
  • Must be a US citizen and currently possess or be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.
  • Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of Technical College or formal Trade Program training.
  • 1 year residential or commercial painting experience.
  • Experience working in Department of Defense or other government environment.
Physical Demands:
Be capable of performing work in a field environment requiring full range of motion and movement; be able to perform physical activities including climbing and working at heights greater than 50 feet, crawling, working outdoors, and repetitive physical tasks involving lifting at least 50 lbs.
