- Baker School District is currently seeking a candidate for a Part-Time Custodian I position for multiple locations for the 2023-2024 school year.
- Work Schedule: 8 hours per week.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining a district facility and grounds to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. Work in cooperation with other maintenance and custodial staff to maintain facilities and equipment in proper working order throughout the district. .
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Maintain the building, equipment, and grounds in a neat and clean manner, complete minor repairs as required, and perform preventative maintenance.
- Regularly clean and decontaminate building, equipment, and work areas after contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials to help prevent blood borne pathogens.
- Prepare rooms for various functions in the building, maintaining building security.
- Direct all maintenance requests to appropriate supervisor and ensure that related repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- Handle staff requests based on the work schedule and safety issues, prioritize and respond accordingly.
- Regularly inspect facilities for normal wear and tear, vandalism, safety hazards, etc., and ensure that proper maintenance is completed in a timely manner.
- Assist with student supervision in custodian’s duty areas.
- Participate in in-service and/or professional development programs, funded by the district, when requested by administrator/supervisor.
- Comply with all applicable district, state, and federal policies and laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Based on 2023-2024 Salary Schedule, the hourly wage is $16.26 - $20.31 per hour. Placement on the salary schedule will be in accordance with the BSD 5J/OSEA collective bargaining agreement.
