Tallahassee Primary Care Associates is looking for a part-time Diagnostic Scheduler to work in our Radiology Department. Hours to work 5 hours per day between 8:00a-5:00p, Monday - Friday with some occasional overtime. Qualified applicant must pass a criminal background check to include drug test and references.

Scheduling Responsibilites:

• Obtain clinical information needed via EMR and work patient portal requests
• Verify all health insurance on all patients under assigned three work days out
• Obtain certification and authorization numbers when needed
• Document order status in EMR output queue and fax order status and authorization requests to outside physicians
• Clearly document in details field patient's benefits, deductibles, co-pays, effective date, authorization numbers and miscellaneous information for central billing and check out personnel
• Check schedule for added patient appointments at the end of each day for the following day and work up insurance and benefits if necessary

Clerical Responsibilities and Patient Communication:

• Promptly answer telephone and accurately schedule patient appointments
• Give accurate patient exam preps
• Notify patient of co-payment amount
• Verify all necessary patient information is correct before ending call and edit any incorrect information
• Follow up with patients who have not scheduled appointments at least once a week
• Work the hypertension list to determine when the patient is due for an office visit
