Job Description

Do you have experience crafting marketing strategies and creating the content to deliver on those strategies? Are you passionate about using your talents to shape the early childhood industry and provide more support for our team and the childcare centers we partner with?   • This role is not open to contract-based employees as active and in-person participation on the management team is crucial for success.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 6 hours daily

Daily start and end time somewhat flexible, but preferred work hours of 9:00am-3:00pm or 9:30am-3:30pm


The Job

The Marketing Strategist will drive marketing and online presence, enhancing brand awareness and engagement within the childcare and educational communities. This role is pivotal in crafting and executing marketing strategies for both print and online platforms, content creation, and social media planning, with a focus on effectively reaching and engaging our target audience, team, and partner schools.


Some of the daily tasks this position include:

  • Collaborating with the management team to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies, identifying and prioritizing target audiences, both for hiring and for center partnerships.
  • Creating visual content and marketing to maintain consistent branding for The Teachers for Tomorrow, including:
    • Capturing and editing photos and videos at company events
    • Creating and managing presentations & videos for hiring, onboarding, and ongoing trainings
    • Ensuring internal marketing materials stay up to date
  • Enhancing brand recognition and reputation through various marketing channels, focusing on increasing engagement metrics.
  • Generating social media strategies across platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram,
  • Producing, planning and scheduling and managing engaging social media content, including but not limited to posts, reels, and stories.
  • Write and edit persuasive copy for marketing materials, blog posts, social media, email communications and other related marketing publications.
  • Draft newsletters, blog posts, or marketing materials from team and transform it to ensure brand consistency.
  • Continuously improve reach by tracking and reporting on key metrics, identifying trends, areas of improvement, and expansion opportunities.
  • Lead a monthly marketing meeting and recap with the team to discuss upcoming plans and historical trends.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and quickly implement the latest strategies.

Your Skills:

  • Strong project management skills
  • Expert in the field of marketing and social media with experience driving marketing and social media campaigns with proven results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling
  • Fluency in content creation and management systems (Currently Canva, open to others!)
  • Self-motivated and dedicated to the vision and mission
  • Ability to stay on task and meet (or exceed!) goals on a daily and weekly basis
  • Warm and friendly personality
  • Excited and willing to drive change, ask questions and be challenged
  • Driven to succeed, especially when working remotely!

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing-related fields
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing successful marketing strategies across multiple channels.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and drive results.
  • Proficiency with tools like Canva or similar for content creation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
  • Childcare and/or early childhood experience preferred
  • Must be local to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
