The Patient Services Representative is responsible for answering inquiries and obtaining information from the general public, patients, providers, and other office-pertinent contacts. The Patient Services Representatives interacts with patients and office vendors to ensure efficient operation of the practice.

Tasks

• Greeting and assisting patients in a warm and courteous manner;
• Collect, sort, distribute and prepare mail, messages and courier deliveries;
• File and maintain records;
• Logging phone calls, referrals, and patient data;
• Scheduling check-in, check-out, appointments, and patient registration;
• Receive payment and record receipts for services;
• Transmit information or documents to patients using a computer, mail, or facsimile machine;
• Handling confidential patient information and adhering to HIPAA; and
• Other assigned duties.
