Job Description

Primary Purpose of Job

Processes and posts all correspondence and transactions received via mail (i.e., deposits, withdrawals, transfers and account closures) and applicable FISERV digital (ATM, Merchant & Mobile) processing channels, accurately and in an efficient and timely manner. Performs inquiries on deposits, loans and mortgages through various Fiserv subsystems.


Major Job Accountabilities

  • Processes and posts various incoming transactions received via mail (i.e., deposits, withdrawals, transfers and account closures) accurately and in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Analyzes customer deposits and determine if suspicious activity is occurring, files maintain the account status field, block customer debit card & disable Online Banking Access.
  • Processes all deposit transactions and the completion of other departmental tasks by the expected deadlines and cut-off times.
  • Performs inquiries on deposit, loan and mortgage accounts through various vendor subsystems.
  • Processes lockbox items for commercial customers.
  • Prepares commercial customer’s excel spread sheet, email file with images, mail customer correspondence, document customer Lockbox stats & complete Lockbox billing file.
  • Analyzes deposit (USPS Mail, ATM, Merchant & Mobile) checks to ensure negotiability points are met and decision funds availability of the check.
  • Investigates, documents and addresses suspicious activity with Enterprise Fraud and other bank teammates as appropriate to resolve the identified issue.
  • Redirects mail received from PO BOX 2300 to the proper department for handling/processing.
  • Responds to inquiries and requests from branches, departments and customers relating to services provided by the Payment Processing Services department.
  • Performs work at the assigned work location. Occasionally works weekend and evening shifts.


Required Skills or Training

  • Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service internally and externally. Must be able to keep sensitive customer and bank information confidential and secure.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Computer: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). 10 key by touch – 7,000 kph. Ability to type a minimum of 35+ wpm and input data accurately and efficiently.
  • Organization: Excellent attention to detail. Able to work efficiently and effectively to meet critical deadlines. Must be highly organized and able to manage and prioritize tasks.
