Job Description Summary:
This role will support existing and prospective pharmacy client relationships by developing and supporting strategies for sales and retention. The role will act as liaison of the Blue KC pharmacy department in the market to achieve profitable retention of accounts and meet customers’ needs to obtain cost-effective pharmacy benefits.
Job Description
  • Act as the pharmacy person responsible in partnership with the sales team for regular engagement with broker/consultant pharmacy leaders to capture the pharmacy strategies that appeal to employers.
  • Responsible for the supporting the company's pharmacy products and services for overall retention and growth-related activities aligned to Blue KC’s Pharmacy programs
  • Apply market pharmacy pricing & product intel to inform BlueKC product and price position strategies
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for Pharmacy Benefit design, products, and programs.
  • Train internal teams and external customers on the benefits of our Pharmacy programs
  • Develops materials and assists Sales in creating a credible and motivating pharmacy benefits proposal and/or presentation.
  • Prepares, reviews and conducts presentations of customer reports with meaningful analytics, trending and recommendations for program improvement based on findings.
  • Establish and implement strategies to cultivate and manage group, client, and broker relationships at levels to deepen Blue KC’s managed pharmacy benefits value proposition.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in Pharmacy
  • Active Pharmacy License in good standing
  • 7-10 years' professional experience in pharmacy inclusive of analytical reporting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business, Health Informatics, or other relevant area
