REPORTS TO: Coordinator of Public School Therapy and Supervising OTR

LOCATION: Roselle, NJ and East Orange, NJ

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implements treatment directly on an individual basis or group basis under the direction of PT
• Submits written reports to appropriate sources according to schedule utilizing required formats/forms and maintains all service-related records; obtains the signature of PT
• Designs, fabricates, adjusts or makes minor repairs to therapeutic equipment for individual students and makes suggestions and monitors the provision of appropriate assistive technology under the supervision of PT
• Maintains open communication with family/guardian and child study team case manager as required on an individual basis
• Participates in department meetings, all staff meetings, team meetings, and various school clinics
• Travel and or home visits may be required to meet individual needs

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Demonstrated knowledge of and independence in the use of varied physical therapy treatment approaches; knowledge of child development
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Establish and maintain proper working relationships with students, parents, co-workers and supervisors

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate Degree from an approved Physical Therapy training program; fingerprint examination and approval by State of NJ; transportation may be required
