Full Time and Part Time Police Officers

The Borough of Bridgewater Police Department is accepting applications for positions with the department. Positions available include both full time police officer and part time police officer.

Applicants must meet the following criteria for consideration for the position:

• Possess a high school diploma or a graduate equivalency diploma (GED)
• Be at least twenty-one (21) years old at time of application
• Be a United States Citizen
• Be legally eligible to operate a motor vehicle in the Commonwealth of PA
• Must have successfully completed PA Act 120 Certification, including passing the final exam.
• Be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer.
• Must be willing to work various shifts, weekends and holidays

Successful applicants must also meet all requirements of the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission, will undergo a criminal background check and a check for civil judgements, pass a psychological exam and will be required to pass a drug test.

Applications can be picked up in person at the Bridgewater Borough Police Department at 199 Boundry Lane Bridgewater, PA 15009 from the Chief of Police Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am to 3 pm. Applications must be completed and submitted back to the Chief of Police.

The Borough of Bridgewater and the Bridgewater Borough Police Department reserve the right to disqualify any application found to be fraudulent in content, incomplete or for just cause.
