L.K. Jordan is currently seeking two dedicated individuals to join our team as Coaters. The successful candidates will be responsible for various coating applications, including Xylan, epoxy, air dry systems, powder coatings, etc. This position requires the ability to interpret drawings for coating applications, mask parts for coating, operate an overhead crane for phosphate tank operations, and perform general shipping and receiving duties.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM (Possible overtime required)

Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with various coating applications.
• Interpret drawings for coating applications.
• Mask parts for coating processes.
• Operate an overhead crane for phosphate tank operations.
• Perform general shipping and receiving duties.
• Operate a forklift and lifting devices for movement of parts.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, production control, quality, and other shop personnel.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
• Adhere to state and federal laws, ISO Quality Program and procedures, company policies, and safety and environmental regulations.
• Adaptable to a changing work environment and able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
• Willingness and ability to work weekends as required.
• Possess basic math skills for material fabrication calculations.
• Follow written and oral instructions.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Steel toe shoes required.
• Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and oral).
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required including near vision, far vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; with or without correction.
