What You’ll Work On

Perform the general activities pertinent to the department by having a working knowledge of equipment and procedures pertaining to the function assigned.

The Powder Packaging Operator is responsible for the operation and daily maintenance of packaging equipment, line support, in-process testing, documentation, completing work orders, material inventory tracking and area sanitation.

Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
• Labelers/Over cappers - Ensure proper operation of labelers and over cappers; ensure correct labels and over caps for product being filled are used; ensure daily maintenance of labeler and over capper; changeover of equipment and track work for various can sizes; routine PM’s for equipment; pull samples as required.
• Hand and Auto Packers/Palletizer Tray/Shrink wrapper. Auto or hand case packing/tray wrapping and pallet stacking of all products; ensure proper operation of equipment; changeover of equipment for various can sizes; routine PM’s on equipment; perform outgoing inspection per work order requirement; stretch wrap finished pallets and supply lid feed system.
• In-Process Testing/Documentation
• Line Support; Forklift Operation - Ensure adequate line supplies of products and materials; staging and removal of pallets

Shift:

Please note: This is a 12-hour Day shift position from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm and allows you to have every other weekend off.

• Week 1 Mon - OFF, Tues - OFF, Wed - 12 hours, Thurs - 12 hours, Fri - OFF, Sat - OFF, Sun - OFF
• Week 2 Mon - 12 hours, Tues - 12 hours, Wed - OFF, Thurs - OFF, Fri - 12 hours, Sat - 12 hours, Sun - 12 hours
• Week 3 Mon - OFF, Tues - OFF, Wed - 12 hours, Thurs - 12 hours, Fri - OFF, Sat - OFF, Sun – OFF
• Week 4 Mon - 12 hours, Tues - 12 hours, Wed - OFF, Thurs - OFF, Fri - 12 hours, Sat - 12 hours, Sun - 12 hours

***There is a two week training period that will be a day shift; M-F; 7am – 3:30pm***

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
