Job Information

The Pricing Strategy Manager will be responsible for contributing to the development & implementation of strategic pricing initiatives for the Doosan Bobcat North America business that will optimize standard gross profit.
As a leader on the Pricing & Program team, you will drive initiatives with cross-functional teams, supporting the innovative pricing strategies for both new & established Bobcat products. In this role you will bring analytical rigor, strategic insights, and business judgement to pricing decisions.

Role & Responsibility

  • Design, Analysis, and Implementation of Pricing Program
o Develop & communicate a competitive, market-based pricing strategy for Bobcat to provide a consistent approach to pricing
o Accountable for gross margin targets annually
o Streamline current pricing processes & optimize profits
o Create & manage pricing decisions, including forecasting, segmentation analysis, competitive benchmarking, price tiering, and statistical price sensitivity modeling
o Analyze, recommend, and implement tools/analytics to increase efficiencies & decrease costs in order to meet business objectives
o Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information & trends
o Monitors progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, analyzing results, and recommending actions
o Develop & present executive summary presentations to functional leadership teams
o Lead projects cross-functionally to test & implement developments/requirements
  • Pricing Strategy Development
o Develop & define pricing strategies to achieve sales growth for product offerings aligned with long-term goals
o Evaluate business cases for different pricing scenarios & model out impact on profit
o Research market & competitive intelligence to ensure pricing is aligned with current business environment
o Collaborates with business leaders in developing strategic pricing initiatives
o Monitors implementation & progress of strategic pricing initiatives
o Ad Hoc projects as assigned

  • Item & Price File Maintenance
o Utilizing various channel-specific discount levels and targeted incentives, establish and disseminate price lists to channel partners
o Communicate to all stakeholders all pricing changes as they occur
o Participate in product launch meetings to determine new machine launch dates & prepare pricing accordingly

Job Requirement

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • Experience: 7 > 10 years
  • Travel: <10%
  • Demonstrated experience using strategic thinking & planning skills
  • Proficiency in data analytics & problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience creating reports & presenting to senior management
  • Strong knowledge of business drivers, LRP/AOP initiatives
  • Strong business acumen & ability to evaluate business cases
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with very short timelines
  • High competency in strategic thinking & execution
  • Strong financial acumen & knowledge of financial statements
  • High degree of fluency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent organization & project management skills
  • Ability to work well both in a team environment & independently with little supervision
