Production Assistant

Inesscents Aromatic Botanicals has been known for high quality, sustainably sourced organic body care since 2000. Located in Ashland, OR our products are manufactured in small batches and are shipped directly to natural food stores nationwide. We have a small, long-standing, dedicated team and are looking for the right person to support us as we grow.

Our new Production Assistant must enjoy independent, repetitive work and working with a small team to accomplish company goals. This is a physically demanding job that requires a person who enjoys manufacturing work. Familiarity with the natural industry is preferred but not required if you are the right fit. Being resourceful and self-motivated is imperative, as is an individual who cares about our brand and our mission.

Job Description:

· Works with production team members to meet daily and weekly production goals.

· Operates and monitors basic machinery such as fillers, labelers, and cappers.

· Performs basic care for machinery such as replacing ink cartridges, replacing seals, and troubleshooting minor issues.

· Sanitizes and cleans equipment in between each run and as needed.

· Monitors quality control on finished products.

· Ensures accuracy on production runs - number of units made, formulation accuracy, lot numbers and any identifiable issues with packaging, raw materials, etc. ensuring a quality end-product.

· Keeps accurate and meticulous logs.

· Has a great attention for detail as this position requires accuracy in measuring, weighing, blending, and counting.

· Follows warehouse safety protocols.

· Assists in keeping track of regulatory testing requirements for certain products.

· Keeps a clean and organized work area.

· Performs consistent, accurate and focused work with other team members without getting distracted.

· Good dexterity to assemble small items.

· Ability to do repetitive work for long periods of time at efficient and steady pace.

· Is adaptable with the ebbs and flows of the production needs. Sometimes there are large quantities and tight deadlines. Other times there is a need for more intricate and detailed work.

· Other warehouse tasks and duties as assigned - i.e. moving raw material and pallets, cleaning, weekly trash and recycling, etc.

· Can learn and execute existing production systems and step points.

· Approaches issues with a resourceful and problem-solving attitude.

· Clear communication with all staff.

· Adds to a positive, productive work environment.

· Works best as a part of a team.

Qualifications:

· Ability to work with high integrity under limited supervision, self-motivated / goal oriented.

· Physically fit – requires the ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift over 50 pounds repetitively.

· This is a physically demanding job that requires attention to detail, excellent communication, and organization.

· Forklift operation is a plus but not a requirement.

· This is an entry level position. Willing to train the right person.

· Approximately 35-40 hours per week: Monday – Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
