Production Supervisor

Salary Range: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 Annually

In this role the machining group leader will direct and coordinate the activities of the production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products within an industrial organization. This role involves overseeing operations personally or through team leaders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Review production orders and schedules to determine product specifications, quantities, and delivery dates to plan department operations.
2. Plan production operations, establish priorities, and sequences for manufacturing products.
3. Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
4. Review production and operating reports, troubleshot operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize costs and prevent delays.
5. Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance.
6. Develop or revise standard operational practices, observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
7. Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
8. Supervise and coordinate workers responsible for recording work hours and processing time records, including PTO.
9. Perform daily operational tasks and responsibilities of team members and leaders based on staffing conditions.
10. Conduct disciplinary actions when necessary.

Education and/or Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Ability to read, interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
3. Ability to calculate figures and amounts, apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
4. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
5. Proficiency in Plex Manufacturing software, Excel Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software
