The General Motors Manufacturing Group is seeking to identify highly motivated individuals for current opportunities at our Pontiac Stamping facility. We are urgently hiring for this role!

What We're Looking For:

• You prioritize a safe workplace for everyone and understand, support, and execute all work in a safe manner and contribute to a culture that promotes safety as its overriding priority.

• You thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing plant environment and learn new tasks and adapt to frequent job duty changes as required by business demands.

• You're obsessed with precision and top-notch quality work and can complete tasks within designated timeframes to meet operational expectations.

• Staying precise with tools, machinery, and equipment such as a tugger to load, unload, transfer and move materials within the assembly plant. This equipment could operate at heights of up to 35 feet.

• You’re able to read, comprehend, and follow written, standardized work instructions and trained procedures.

• Ready to grow, cooperate, and contribute to our dynamic team.

Physical Requirements:

• Quick response to safety instructions, alarms, and signals are a must.

• Able to work and stand for extended periods.

• Ability to work with rare earth metals/magnets

• Comfortably wear personal protective equipment.

• Navigate a busy environment.

• Bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach.

• May need to lift or carry materials weighing up to 40 lbs. depending on department.

• Occasional sitting during certain tasks.

• Drive vehicles and equipment when needed, such as tuggers and forklifts

Minimum Requirements:

• 18+ years old.

• Flexible shift availability

• Willingness for overtime.

• Must be able to satisfactorily complete the General Motors hiring process requirements which includes drug testing and a background check.
