Job Description

Job Title: Professional Residential Housekeeper

Reports to: Household Manager

Schedule: Part Time (trial)/Transitioning to Full-time (Starting at 15-20 hours per week)

Position Overview: We are seeking a professional housekeeper to work in a private residence in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain a high level of cleanliness and order throughout the home. The Housekeeper will report to the Household Manager and work closely with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the household.

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Cleaning and maintaining all common areas and keeping all rooms tidy, organized, and always prepared for homeowners

· Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, countertops, and sinks

· Disinfecting surfaces

· Dusting/Polishing surfaces and baseboards

· Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors and balconies

· Making beds and changing linens

· Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces

· Washing dishes/emptying dishwasher(s)

· Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all closets, cabinets, and drawers

· Laundering clothing, linens, towels, dog beds

o Ironing/steaming above (if applicable)

· Monitoring household supplies and ensuring that all necessary items, such as cleaning supplies, toiletries, and household items, are stocked and replenished when needed

· Clean and/or change all filters/vents for appliances

· Administering special cleaning requests and projects, utilizing specific products to ensure delicate areas of the home are being cleaned and handled with care

· Creating and implementing daily schedules with House Manager

· Preparing guest rooms for visitors

Qualifications/Experience:

1. Previous Experience: 3-5 years of experience working as a housekeeper in a private residence.

2. Attention to Detail: strong attention to detail and be able to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization throughout the home.

3. Communication Skills: effective communication skills and able to work effectively with other staff members and household occupants. Applicants must be fluent in English.

4. Physical Ability: Possess physical ability to perform the necessary cleaning and maintenance duties, including lifting and moving objects, climbing small ladders, and standing for extended periods of time.

5. Professionalism: responsible, friendly, professional, discreet, and respectful of the privacy and security of the household and its occupants.

6. Animals: Must be comfortable around large dogs.

7. Education: Additional education or training in housekeeping or hospitality is a plus.

8. References/Background Checks: must provide 3 professional references and agree to background checks and drug screening prior to employment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
