The Metro Atlanta Chamber is seeking a Program Manager to assist in crafting, developing and executing a new talent initiative that directly connects Metro Atlanta Chamber investor companies with previously untapped pools of intern talent across the state. This role involves team-building, workforce program development, and fostering partnerships with educational institutions around industry-identified priorities.
Summary:
The Program Manager is responsible for leading the team of individuals who connect the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) investor companies with young talent statewide. The manager will develop the program rollout and pursue relevant partnerships with colleges and universities across the state, while managing the staff associated with the intern program. This individual will work under the Senior Director, Talent Development, and in close partnership with MAC’s Director of Talent Partnerships and the Program Manager of the ATL Talent Collaborative.
The ideal candidate can manage relationships with business, education, and community leaders and is able to manage multiple projects with ease. The candidate will communicate in a strong, positive, and effective manner, both verbally and non-verbally, and be a self-starter with the ability to sustain and move work forward with minimal direction. All MAC employees are expected to work collaboratively with other MAC departments and be team players to help accomplish our organizational mission. This position is partially funded through a 26-month grant with, upon successful completion of grant objectives, a possibility for renewal.
Intern Program
The Metro Atlanta Chamber is launching an ambitious initiative to connect intern talent pipelines at education institutions across our state with the intern managers and hiring personnel at MAC investor companies in internship and short-term employment opportunities. This intern program will dutifully track intern recruitment and placement of talent across members of the ATL Talent Collaborative and strengthen relationships between MAC staff and the staff of our education partners and institutions.
