Mindful Sports is a small business in Brooklyn, NY. We teach mindfulness and sports to kids!

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team of children's development professionals. The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day and seasonal operations to support the creation of safe, enjoyable, and positive developmental sports and mindfulness experiences for children. They are also responsible for managing full-time team members in the Operations Department, and as needed, managing full-time seasonal team members and part-time hourly team, Site Leaders and Coaches.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Driving the business forward - Transfer seasonal registrations into class rosters and Check In/Out forms, managing registration portal in Sawyer. Advocate the mission of the company in social media to gain visibility for prospective clients.

Monitoring processes, materials, and accounts - Maintain and track necessary sports inventories. Monitor and drive compliance on the proper use of timekeeping system (ClockShark), completion of essential employee and clients’ documents, and appropriate use of ride-sharing apps. Ensure accurate tracking of inventory budgeting and suitable compilation of meeting notes. Submit bi-montly payroll report.

Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships - Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with children, parents, indoor space managers, and other external stakeholders and maintain it over time. Suggest improvements in communication channels as needed.

Developing and building teams - Encourage mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. Provide guidance during meetings for all operational needs. Be available to all team members and clients via Slack during work hours. Demonstrate willingness to fill-in to coaches and site leaders in-case of need. Ensure well-being and safety of children and coaches at all times. Take part in interviewing and hiring new team members. Develop effective employee onboarding, training, and evaluation to ensure good employee experience. Enforce policy and issue corrective actions if needed.

Performing administrative tasks - Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as daily management of all after-school class or camp rosters, prepare and mark Check In/Out forms accordingly, communicate professionally with clients, work alongside the Program Manager to help set, maintain, and operate the Seasonal and Daily Schedules. Working with the Program Manger to help facilitate an opertionally efficient working enviornment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
