Job Description

Position Title – Projector Coordinator

Position Type – (1) Hybrid Part-Time – 20 to 30 hours/wk.

Position Salary:  $27.50/hr.

Position Start Date: Immediately Upon Hire

Position Description

The Company – Jewel of Justice is a Fresno-based small business that provides women’s personal and professional development as well as consulting, training, and education at the intersection of race, gender, and class for educational institutions and community-based organizations. We specialize in providing and protecting space for the healing and flourishing of Black lives.  

The Position – This position is made possible by our newly awarded one-year grant from the Packard Foundation which focuses on Advancing Black Maternal Behavioral Health. We are looking for an individual who has a demonstrated track record of working with and for Black and African American communities and who is ready to share their creative energy towards addressing Black maternal and infant mortality in Fresno County.  

Position Responsibilities

This person will report directly to the President and Project Manager, Dr. Karen Crozier, and also be responsive to, and engaged with, the Leadership Council 4 Black Self-Care & Wellness. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

1.    Schedule launch event, seven (7) behavioral health intervention sessions, and LC quarterly meetings

2.    Create and sustain community outreach and engagement through various mediums including social media

3.    Website development/enhancement

4.    Ensure resources and equipment availability for launch event, behavioral health intervention sessions, and LC quarterly meetings

5.    Distribute and collect behavioral intervention evaluations

6.    Data input, analysis, and reporting

7.    Attend all meetings with the LC executive committee and Project Manager,

8.    Support Project Manager and LC

9.    Monitor expenses

Position Requirements

➢   BA degree in psychology, public health, education, social work, or ethnic/gender studies or the equivalent of 3 years of prior relevant experience.

➢   Attentive, supportive listener through summarizing and mirroring 

➢   Intentional relationship building practices or skills that facilitate a culture of care

➢   Excellent written and oral communication skills

➢   Awareness of and respect for cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds and experiences within self and others

➢   Knowledge of and fluency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

➢   Good communication skills

➢   Ability to work independently and with a small team

➢   Ability to be flexible and creative 

➢   Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment

➢   Background in working in new programs, projects, or initiatives

➢   Dependable

➢   Detail oriented 

     

Certificates/Licenses

           

Ø  A valid California driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance and reliable transportation or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.   

Physical Demands

 

Ø  Stand, walk, sit, and handling frequently

Ø  Reach outward and above shoulder occasionally

Ø  Climb, crawl, kneel and bend occasionally

Ø  Lift/Carry occasionally – up to 25 pounds

Ø  Push/Pull occasionally – up to 25 pounds

Ø  See and hear constantly
