Job Description

Job Summary: Electrical Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical projects. Electrical Project Manager will develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinating with other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards. Overseeing quality control checks and system validations to ensure the functionality and safety of electrical installations. Maintaining clear and accurate project documentation and records.
Play a key part managing and resolving any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Communicating effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to keep the project on track.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, and Client demand.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Direct and supervise the activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
  • Provide technical advice and resolve problems to ensure that standards for quality, reliability, and safety are met.
  • Ensures all projects are implemented in accordance with the design and responds timely to questions related to field conditions
  • Develop and/or review electrical engineering technical specifications and bid documents for engineered equipment, materials engineering, and construction service contracts
  • Oversees, scheduling and coordination of internal and external resources for project completion
  • Oversees Job Start and Project Closeout materials.
  • Provides Electrical engineering support for manufacturing processes and equipment within the manufacturing facility by designing, specifying, purchasing and constructing mechanical systems and components
  • Prepares agendas, develops and maintains scope, business requirements, performance specifications, procurement strategy, safety plan, master project budgets and timelines as required for each project and project phase to ensure overall project objectives and client needs are met.
  • Ensures all punch list work is completed in a timely manner and that it does not interfere with the client’s ability to occupy the space.
  • Maintain and nurture client relations.
  • Maintain and nurture other onsite discipline relations
  • Write and track RFI’s making sure of timely responses
  • Write FCN’s “Field Change Notices” per Ion FCN Policy

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager.
  • Experience with quality control and assurance.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial management.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, and standards related to electrical engineering.
Licenses and Certifications:
PMP Project Management certified preferred
Physical Requirements:
The ability to left 50lbs. May be exposed to loud noises, wet and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme hot and cold depending on weather conditions.
