Position: Project Manager

Location: Hybrid - Tallahassee, FL 32399

Contract Term: 18 Months Plus

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of DOH procedures, protocols, and regulations, along with proven expertise in overseeing the procurement process for obtaining competitive quotes and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of website and CMS projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and desired outcomes for the website and web content management system redesign and implementation project.
• Develop and manage the procurement process to obtain competitive quotes for business analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance services related to the project.
• Work closely with vendors, contractors, and service providers to evaluate proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with DOH goals and priorities.
• Coordinate project activities, resources, and deliverables, monitoring progress and facilitating effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to address potential challenges, obstacles, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates, reports, and presentations on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards governing website development, accessibility, security, and content management within the DOH environment.
• Oversee user acceptance testing, quality assurance processes, and post-implementation support and maintenance activities to ensure the successful launch and ongoing functionality of the redesigned website and CMS.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive project environment, promoting teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on website redesign and CMS implementation projects within the Florida Department of Health or similar governmental healthcare agencies.
• Demonstrated expertise in procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation within a public sector environment.
• Strong understanding of web development technologies, content management systems, and digital accessibility standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation through to completion, delivering results on time and within budget.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
