Job Description

Summary

A Project Scheduler will create, implement, maintain, and oversee project schedules. The Project Scheduler will collaborate with project managers, designers, superintendents in setting tasks, and monitoring the execution of project timelines.

Jackson, WI

Shift/Work Hours: Varies: M – F 8:00am – 5:00pm

Employment Type: Exempt


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consult with project managers, designers, superintendents, and other key employees and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective scheduling management system using Microsoft Project.
  • Coordinate project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project timelines and deadlines.
  • Identify potential project schedule delays and facilitate intervention in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate performance and prepare project progress reports.
  • Accommodate updates and changes to project schedules.
  • Recommend actions to keep projects within budget and completed on time.
  • Document project schedule processes and maintain documentation for internal and external use.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Knowledge and Skill

  • Deadline oriented with ability to achieve goals per project schedule.
  • Analytical thinker who logically breaks down problems and looks for solutions.
  • Flexible to change, and able to multitask and shift project direction based on customer needs and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated construction project management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and all other Microsoft tools.
  • Exceptional communicator.
  • Holds Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or has a combination of education and relevant work experience.

Physical Demands

  • Occasionally required to walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach above shoulders, and move from place to place.
  • Regularly required to talk and listen and frequently required to sit and use hands to handle or feel.
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Exposed to a typical office environment where the noise level is moderate. Occasional trips to manufacturing areas will be required.
