Job Summary and Qualifications

This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Quality Program manager will:

  • Assists organization and facilitates patient care in her/his department that is consistent with unit/department and hospital standards and goals.
  • Oversight of Data Management Team at CBCI to ensure all data accrual and reporting is compliant with all accrediting bodies.
  • Responsible for the selection, training, scheduling and supervision of data management personnel.
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to the Data Management Plan for all data quality activities.
  • Ensure quality and integrity of clinical data.
  • Assists organization and facilitates patient care in her/his department that is consistent with unit/department and hospital standards and goals.
  • Supervises the clinical quality program including SOP review/revision, data review, reporting and process improvement with a focus on strong customer service, accuracy, quality, efficiency, timeliness and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain the Quality folders of the CBCI Sharepoint system.
  • Reviews, records and reports results to ensure quality processes are followed
  • Serves as a resource and actively provides direction and supervision to department staff as related to quality patient/donor safety and policies & procedures.
  • Responsible for all BMT Quality functions and meeting coordination.
  • Responsible for FACT Accreditation activities and inspection in cooperation with the CBCI and P/SL clinical team and the Cellular Therapeutics team.
  • Establish continual FACT readiness, including population of the COMAIBA-Primed system.
  • Attends FACT and ASBMT continuing education to ensure the program stays compliant with new standards.
  • Monitors programmatic quality metrics and makes suggestions for process improvement activities and quality initiatives as needed.
  • Participates in Sarah Cannon Blood Cancer Network Quality Initiatives and workgroups/committees in collaboration with the Sarah Cannon Network Director of Quality.
  • Participates in the Transplant Research meetings to provide guidance on SOP’s and quality initiatives.
  • Coordinates quality initiatives for CAR-T therapies and initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with providers, clinic leaders, clinical and non-clinical professionals and other stakeholders at the P/SL and CBCI.
  • Assists with department meetings, participates in relevant leadership activities and serves on relevant committees at P/SL
  • Consistently demonstrates excellent customer service, iCARE Standards of Behavior, and service recovery skills to enhance the patient experience.

  • Performs delegated duties assigned by the Director of Clinic Operations, which are consistent with her/his scope practice and competence.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license preferred
  • Oncology/BMT Nursing Certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least three years nursing experience in oncology/stem cell transplantation preferred. At least 1 year of quality and/or data management experience within a FACT accredited HSCT/IECT program preferred. At least one year previous experience in charge/supervisory or management position preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills. Desire to provide compassionate, holistic care.
