Job Description

  • 5+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
  • 2+ years of quality assurance teams management experience
  • Experience managing manual testers
  • Experience managing automation testers
  • Experience identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results with a strong QA background
  • Extensive experience in developing long-term automation strategies and implementing Full CD pipelines across the organization.
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.

  • Immersive customer experiences: We will craft elevated, captivating, and immersive customer experiences that leverage cutting-edge UI technologies and user-centric design principles.

  • Amazon scale systems: All our technology needs to work at Amazon scale, serving millions of customers with millisecond-level latency.
  • Personalization using machine learning: We use latest advances in ML and GenAI to provide better-personalized shopping experiences.
  • Data and ML pipelines: Robust data backbone and seamless ML pipelines is necessary for our systems to function smoothly at scale. We use the latest and greatest advances in AWS Technologies, data lakes, ML Engineering (RAGs, vector searches, lang chain, SageMaker Studio), and automation frameworks to build services and pipelines that can be deployed to production rapidly.
Key job responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with senior engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to design and implement highly scalable, enterprise-class Quality Assurance architectures and customer experience solutions for Amazon's retail platforms;
  • Validate the proposed solutions to ensure they meet the problem statement and requirements, then incorporate them into a scalable and extensible quality assurance design, along with the required QA tasks;
  • Develop manual and automation quality assurance strategies to be seamlessly integrated into the daily workflow, with the goal of consistently improving the overall quality assurance standards across the organization;
  • Adopt a data-driven and quantitative approach, being detail-oriented and backing up ideas with facts. Understand complex application data flows and bridge the gap between technical and business requirements;
  • Transform how premium customers discover, engage with, and purchase products across the Amazon platform, ensuring exceptional user experiences;
  • Deliver highly immersive, innovative shopping experiences tailored to the needs of Amazon's beauty customers, with quality assurance as a key focus;
  • Leverage deep expertise in cutting-edge QA assurance design, QA methodologies, and engineering best practices to thoroughly test the large-scale system architecture;
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders and engineers to scale and validate the exceptional UI and CX solutions that elevate the customer experience across Amazon's vast ecommerce ecosystem, maintaining a strong emphasis on quality assurance.

Amazon Beauty Tech is a key and essential part of the Consumables organization and North America Stores. We are a passionate group of engineers, scientists, product managers, and designers who drive technological innovation to improve the customer shopping experience. Seattle, WA, USA

  • Experience preparing quality metrics and effectively engaging with stakeholders to set and drive quality goals
  • Experience transforming QA programs from manual to automation
  • 5+ years of experience testing across a variety of platforms, including web, mobile, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Expertise in developing high-quality test plans, test designs, test strategies, and automation strategies, as well as leading test execution.
  • Demonstrated creativity and initiative to enhance test coverage and effectiveness.
  • Proficient in scripting, user-level test automation, and performing white-box testing.
  • Experience with specialized and technical testing, such as security, network protocols, multiplayer features, stress and performance testing, or publisher certification.
  • Strong reporting skills, ability to surface key information and KPIs, leverage analytics and telemetry, and produce impactful reports for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Experience collaborating with QA vendors and various development stakeholders.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $228,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
