Job Duties:

• Conducts thorough inspections and compliance checks on incoming ingredients, packaging, and supplier documentation, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations.
• Performs pre-operational checks and production process control, including allergen testing, equipment inspections, and verification of metal detectors, x-ray operations, and net weight.
• Manages label control verification, positive pallet release, and sensory quality testing, including assessments of chocolate bloom and shelf life for finished products.
• Supports the QA Supervisor in sanitation duties, participates in GMP and Food Defense inspections, and assists in the updating of Food Safety and Quality SOPs.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop new products, commission new equipment, and maintain comprehensive QA logs, trends, and records for food safety and quality.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, food engineering, biology/microbiology, or chemistry; or equivalent experience in Food Safety & Quality Assurance.
• At least two (2) years of QA experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong skills in reading, interpreting, analyzing, and problem-solving with attention to detail.
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365.
