Job Purpose:
Compare the actual quality characteristics of products and components being produced internally and by our suppliers against established quality specifications and accepting or rejecting the product or component based on those findings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform product audits in assigned area (assembly, molding, incoming, shipping).
- Generate audit reports.
- Conduct Periodic audits of finished goods in warehouse to assess product shelf life and warehouse damage.
- Enter daily audit findings into various computer systems.
- Work with suppliers and other departments to process return to vendor items.
- Maintain supplier history data in Oracle and HQMS (Harrington Quality Management System)
- Read part drawings to determine part acceptance.
- Use various measuring instruments to determine if parts meet specifications.
- Interface with purchasing, engineering, receiving, and assembly with regard to rejected material.
- Must be able to work unsupervised and handle multiple tasks.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous assembly and/or molding experience.
- Experience with Oracle, Excel, and other computer software.
Working conditions:
Position is located at our Cookeville, TN manufacturing facility. This facility is heated and cooled. Employee will be working with and near moving mechanical parts.
Physical requirements:
Candidate must be able to identify and distinguish colors, stand for long periods of time, lift/carry up to 35 lbs., reach hands and arms in any directions and kneel/stoop repeatedly. A drug screen is required prior to employment. A physical may also be required as employment terms.
