Job Description
Tallahassee Primary Care Associates is looking for a part-time Radiology Office Specialist to work in our busy Diagnostic Department. The qualified candidate must be able to work between the hours of Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. with occasional overtime as needed.
Applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
- Computer proficiency; knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work well with others and under pressure
- Strong communication, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to articulate and communicate effectively in person, in email, and on the phone
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Essential Functions Of Position
A. Quality of Work
- Complete patient financial registration ensuring all financial information is correct
- Calculate pre-estimate of cost for services scheduled and notify patient
- Verify insurance prior to appointment date
- Efficiently check out patient account
- Schedule/Cancel patients according to protocol
- Collect appropriate co-payments at time of service
- Confirm patient appointments, inform patients of preps and precautions
- Schedule add on appointments into Avreo
- Serve as backup to input the schedule into Avreo
- Stock necessary supplies for the front office
B. Billing
- Balance checks, cash, and credit cards at the end of each day
- Prepare the end of day deposit
- Collect past due balances at time of service and refer patients to Central Billing for large balances that need a payment plan
- Issue receipts for cash payments of co-pays, co-insurances, and prior balances
C. Customer Service
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls promptly and take messages if necessary
