Job Summary
Manages negotiations and processes associated with jurisdiction operational issues for the operating company. Possesses expert level regulatory knowledge plus performs varied work assignments demonstrating an in-depth proficiency in the application of theory and analytical techniques to solutions of diverse problems. Possesses a well-established knowledge of developments, procedures and current events affecting regulatory activity, and offers input on ways to implement needed areas of change. Educates others on interrelationships between cost drivers and revenue. Under the Director's supervision, responsible for the administration of rates and terms and conditions of service for filed tariff schedules and special contracts to ensure proper and uniform application and compliance.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Manages negotiations and processes associated with jurisdiction operational issues for OPCOs while advocating policies developed by management.
  • Coordinates group work activities of the organization and outside resources, to perform regulatory activities such as filing preparation, interrogatory support, hearing participation, legal briefing, final order or settlement process; consults with and advises the operating company staff of matters affecting rates and regulation.
  • Leads in the presentation of tariff related subjects to both internal and external parties. Builds teams and networks that extend through the company, other companies, professional organizations and regulatory agencies; possesses a comprehensive knowledge of different disciplines' network channels, internal and external to the company; builds relationships to get things accomplished.
  • Manages, facilitates and coordinates work activity of others to perform regulatory special projects; leads organizational unit activities related to specific, unique and/or highly specialized areas of regulatory practice; promotes professionalism and standards.
  • Establishes and maintains continuous review of the Company's rates and terms & conditions of service as well as those of other companies, particularly those located in the state or adjacent to the Company's service territory.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and policies developing within the Commission that affect the Company's operation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, accounting, finance, management or related fields.
Experience:
  • 8 years' experience with emphasis on project management, customer service, management and electric utility tariff application and three years of project or related leadership skills.
  • Must possess superior levels of initiative, planning and organization skills, oral/written communication and presentation skills.

$110,656.00-143,853.50 USD
