RDDT Client Program Specialist

The Residential Dual-Diagnosis Treatment Client Program Specialist is responsible for the supervision of adult offenders with mental health and substance abuse disorders in a community correction setting. The Client Program Specialist develops positive professional rapport with clients, communicates with outside agencies, completes initial and on-going assessment, conducts a collaborative treatment planning process, operates under a trauma-informed care framework, utilizes evidence-based practices in all client interactions, facilitates behavioral interventions and program reviews as needed, and promotes a positive agency culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures compliance with standard internal and external contracting agencies policies and procedures.
  • Conducts and documents effective and accurate client assessments and interviews to determine individual clients’ needs.
  • Collaborates with clients, referring agencies, and treatment providers to develop and implements case plans for client’s treatment programs.
  • Evaluates, directs and monitors services and clients' progress in relations to progression matrix and criminogenic needs with the use of evidence-based practices. Documents progression in internal electronic charting system.
  • Completes intake paperwork for new clients, informs clients of rules and policies of Embrave, and verifies employment.
  • Documents progression in the internal electronic charting system.
  • Responsible for client’s initial orientation, SOA-R determined referral services, accurate and clear documentation in each client’s paper and electronic file, treatment and work schedules and releases.
  • Updates the collaborative treatment plan within regulatory timeframes and based upon client’s unique strengths and needs.
  • Conducts and follows up on quality, evidence-based cognitive behavioral interventions.
  • Maintains a client case load and meets with client at least once a week to monitor progress in the program.
  • Communicates effectively and efficiently with courts, attorneys, probation officers and parole officers regarding the progress of the client. Provides accurate and clear documentation as scheduled and upon request to all outside agencies.
  • Maintains professional relationships with clients from a trauma-informed care perspective to cultivate client engagement and accountability.
  • Creates various reports including but not limited to: entry, termination, program reviews, client budgets etc.
  • Monitors compliance with clients’ financial obligations and works in tandem with business coordinator based on individual clients’ financial situations.
  • Begins discharge planning with clients at time of admission to ensure stability in: housing, finances and employment.
  • Verifies all client employment and updates electronic records upon changes in employers.
  • Promotes a positive attitude, teamwork environment, and participates in building and maintaining a positive agency culture.
  • Provides respectful and professional client services that are individualized with including all relevant strengths, needs, and clients’ goals.
  • Participates in cross training for all Client Program positions as scheduled.
  • Engages in on-going training to ensure knowledge of best practices.
  • Communicates effectively with manager regarding all questions and concerns. Actively seeks additional resources to improve client services.
  • Works efficiently to complete all required services and documentation within regulatory guidelines.
  • Promotes and demonstrates the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Embrave.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with all departments, the management team, regulatory agencies and community partners.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None

EDUCATION/ WORK EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or a related field required. Successful and relevant work experience combined with professional certifications and/or training requiring rigorous effort in the discipline of counseling or case management may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
