As a Reading Tutor, your crucial role will impact the lives of many children, offering vital assistance to those who need extra help reading at their grade level. Immerse yourself in a local school and support kindergarten through third grade students with one-on-one or paired guidance to enrich their reading skills. With training and on-site coaching, you'll be equipped to help children thrive. Your commitment during school hours throughout the academic year guarantees a significant impact.
Member Duties : How You’ll Take Action Be a caring adult who’s focused on helping students build their skills and confidence. Track student progress and regularly meet with the school’s on-site coach. Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software. Commit to your own growth as a tutor through coaching, training, and professional development. Represent Reading Corps at school events and share your experience with the community to raise awareness.
