The receiver is responsible for receiving all materials coming into the bakery, labeling all ingredients and packaging as it is being received, putting items away in their designated home with consideration to FIFO and inputting received items in the Cybake with updated pricing. The receiver ensures that the products being received in the bakery meet the quality standards established by Seven Stars Bakery. Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment in the storeroom. The receiver is a position that requires the ability to work alone or in a team environment, strong time management skills, and organizational skills.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Exceptional knowledge of and adherence to sanitation and food safety standards, GMP preferred
• Strong, energetic and self-motivated
• Ability to work at a fast pace alone and within a team environment
• Excellence work record for reliability, conscientiousness, and attention to detail
• Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Quick visual assessment abilities and capabilities to identify and respond to a hazard(s)
• Must be able to work extreme adverse conditions from hot and humid to sub-zero temperatures
• Impeccable standards in maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area
• Able to read, write, and understand English; basic math and reading skills i.e., invoices and PO’s
• Experience and certification to use an automated pallet jack and forklift required

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more continuously throughout the day
• Ability to stand and be on your feet for up to 8-10 hours per shift
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine.

This is a full time, non-exempt, hourly paid position starting at $18/hour.

Interested candidates must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Shift hours will run from 3am to early afternoon.
