Shipping & Receiving Clerk 1
Job Description:
Responsible for receiving, storing and distributing materials and equipment. Ensures correct delivery and shipment of materials to internal and external customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs work per work instructions
  • Operates hand truck & fork lift
  • Unpacks and confirms incoming non-stock receipts checking for correct item, quantity and free of damage
  • Communicates with shipper to rectify shortages/damages
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track purchase orders
  • Responsible for planning for returns of items to suppliers
  • Responsible for delivery of items to points of use
  • Required to make pick-ups and deliveries using company vehicle
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
  • Practice 5S
  • Preparation of load list to OB, verification of shipment, & create and ship TR for shipment
  • Work with OB team regarding shipments/ incoming trucks through email communication
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Forklift experience preferred
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in material handling preferred
