What You’ll Do:
- Be the first point of contact for clients, helping them schedule diagnostic evaluations with the right care providers.
- Keep client records up-to-date and manage the daily intake log, ensuring no detail is overlooked.
- Collaborate with clinical directors to manage weekly waitlists and maintain contact with clients awaiting services.
- Communicate with referral sources to provide updates on the status of clients waiting to be seen.
- Assist directors with documentation for new clients or specialized referrals, ensuring all processes are smooth and efficient.
- Stay informed about the specialties and availability of clinicians to match clients with the right provider.
- Collect and document client demographics, billing information, and input new client data into the electronic health record.
- Verify insurance coverage, explain copayments, and ensure clients understand any expected costs.
- Secure initial authorizations when required by payers, simplifying the financial process for clients.
- Help place clients in Substance Use Residential Recovery programs and handle enrollment into state systems.
- Engage with clients by understanding and addressing their needs, whether within or outside your scope of work.
- Participate in team meetings to stay aligned on client needs and program goals.
- Uphold strict confidentiality in compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations.
- Provide occasional front desk coverage to support smooth operations.
What You Bring:
- Proficiency with Excel and Word is essential.
- A background in customer service – you have a heart for helping others!
- Experience with insurance authorizations is a plus.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish and/or Portuguese are highly preferred – help us better serve a diverse community!
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
