Position: Registered Nurse

Reports to: Regional Director
Job Type: Full Time


Function:
The Registered Nurse is a program support personnel. This person is an integral member of the Interdisciplinary Team. The Registered Nurse reviews all consumers’ medical/health status at least annually and prepares a Health Evaluation and Medication
Update to their annual Individual Service Plan meeting. The Registered Nurse also conducts quarterly Nursing Audits at all Supervised Community Living Homes (SCLH)and provides feedback to the SCLH Providers.
Minimum Requirements:
The position requires a BSN and a valid Alabama nursing license. A minimum of one (1) year’s experience in Nursing is preferred. This position requires good verbal and written communication skills; the ability to work closely with other agency personnel and the medical community; knowledge of physical assessment and health problems of individuals with developmental disabilities; basic counseling techniques and knowledge of pharmacology, particularly psychotropic medications.
