Evening Shift 2:00 - 10:00 pm with every other weekend.

Position Summary

The Resident Assistant will provide resident care and delegated nursing tasks, as required or assigned, under the supervision of the licensed nurse within the Assisted Living. The RA completes assigned tasks to ensure timely, efficient and safe client/resident care. Communication and interactions with clients, residents, families and other team members is an essential component of this position to ensure resident well-being.

Essential Functions of the Job

• Provide direct resident care.
• Perform or assist with general care and service needs as assigned which may include personal care, a plan of care established by an RN, meal service, light housekeeping etc..
• Perform initial and ongoing data collection on all residents under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
• Promotes the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice.

Qualifications Required

Must pass all competency testing, including medication administration.

Good communication skills

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Must be able to manage multiple priorities and remain calm in an emergency situation.

Qualification Preferred

Hospital, senior living, home care or nursing experience.

CPR certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.36 - $21.32 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
