Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will play a key role in driving sales through effective communication and product knowledge while maintaining the store's visual standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products, utilizing upselling techniques when appropriate.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges.
• Maintain accurate stock levels by conducting regular inventory checks and restocking shelves as needed.
• Demonstrate product features through product demos to enhance customer understanding and encourage purchases.
• Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve overall store performance.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding promotions, sales events, and store policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn about products and services offered in the store.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.65 - $15.37 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
