Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals undergoing various medical and surgical procedures. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
  • Administer medications and IV infusions as prescribed.
  • Perform dialysis procedures and manage patients requiring critical care.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records using medical terminology.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and post-operative care.
  • Participate in the development of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for long-term care patients.
  • Assist in hospice palliative medicine initiatives for end-of-life care.
  • Provide specialized care for neonatal patients, including the use of neonatal ventilators when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable.
  • Previous experience in medical/surgical nursing or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in critical care techniques and practices, including but not limited to dialysis, IV infusion, and infant care.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and hospital medicine practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate approach to patient care with an emphasis on senior care principles.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
