Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Medical Director, CMHA-CEI, supervises and gives direction to the Psychiatric Services Clinic. This program serves adults and children with developmental disabilities, and adults with serious and persistent mental illness. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing administrative and clinical leadership and supervision to the Psychiatric Services Clinic, program development and planning, development and maintenance of programs with community partners, formulation of policies and procedures, clinical and administrative supervision of staff, evaluation of staff and the program itself, some direct services to consumers, consultation and participation in program planning, budget monitoring, staff hiring, and special assignments/projects. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements: Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing a minimum of five (5) years' experience working within a behavioral health setting. Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is required. A minimum of three (3) years of work experience with individuals with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities required. Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in a lead position or progressively more responsible position. Demonstrated leadership skills required. Must be able to exercise independent judgment and confidentiality. Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and access to reliable means of transportation for job related use required. Required to operate a computer. Must have ability to tolerate exposure to body fluids and consumers who may be aggressive. May be required to tolerate considerable secondhand smoke. Must pass a State of Michigan police clearance check. May participate in a management 24-hour on-call system, which may also include holidays and weekends. Must be able to communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written form.

Conditional Employment Requirements: Offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Must pass a pre-employment 5-panel drug screen.

Salary/Hours: Starting salary $77,165 - $87,494 annually with scheduled, annual increases that can result in a salary of $108,162 per year. 40 hours per week.
