Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Assistant Rural Carrier to join our team. As a Assistant Rural Carrier, you will play a vital role in delivering mail and packages to rural communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service, and a valid driver's license.

Duties:

- Safely operate a van or box truck for delivery and pickup of mail and packages in a rural setting.
- Load and unload mail and packages from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and protection.
- Drive a commercial vehicle to and from the post office, as well as to and from delivery locations, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Provide excellent customer service to rural residents and businesses, handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely and efficient completion of routes.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the successful completion of all delivery routes.

Qualifications:

- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy packages and supplies.
- Strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a rural environment.
- Physical stamina to perform the duties of the job, including standing for long periods and walking in various weather conditions.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and meet delivery deadlines.

Job Type: Part-time
