Position Summary: The RYAC Coordinator will promote, support, and encourage youth, foster parents, other case management providers, tribes, KDOC-JS in RYAC/ KYAC involvement in meetings and events.
Location: Olathe, Lawrence, Topeka
Education: A bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Two or more years of experience with children and family services
Licensure/Certification: Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance required
Essential Duties:
- Facilitate Communication: Serve as the main contact for stakeholders regarding RYAC and KYAC involvement. Maintain effective communication channels.
- Promotion and Advocacy: Promote participation and advocate for youth involvement in decision-making processes.
- Coordination of Meetings and Events: Organize and coordinate meetings, events, and activities. Manage logistics, prepare agendas, and inform participants.
- Support and Guidance: Provide support and resources to youth, foster parents, and other stakeholders. Address questions and concerns.
- Collaboration and Networking: Foster partnerships with youth organizations, community groups, governmental agencies, and non-profits.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of activities, attendance, and outcomes. Prepare regular reports.
- Training and Development: Organize training sessions and workshops for youth and stakeholders.
- Evaluation and Continuous Improvement: Conduct evaluations and implement changes based on feedback.
- Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Representation: Represent RYAC and KYAC in external meetings and forums.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
