Position Summary

The Sales Consultant will perform a variety of duties aimed at building R3c’s customer base across all service lines, generating revenue and increasing profitability. The Sales Consultant will develop business through qualified leads, relationship building and service knowledge. This position is responsible for meeting daily call requirements, identifying customers’ needs and presenting appropriate solutions to achieve sales goals.

Essential Functions

  • Meet sales target and calls target for business development
  • Perform daily outbound calls and manage sales pipeline
  • Ensure timely follow up with leads via phone and email communication
  • Follow R3’s strategy by focus selling on key channels and industries
  • Build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external and internal customers
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about R3’s services
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through direct prospecting, lead follow up, networking, partner relationships, and new market exploration
  • Draft proposals and ensure timely response to RFPs/RFIs
  • Participate in new contract and renewal negotiation
  • Research and all key prospective clients
  • Coordinate sales effort with other business leaders as needed
  • Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly sales reports using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Document sales activity in CRM software
  • Collaborate with Customer Partnership, Operations, and Accounting teams to ensure successful new customer and service implementation
  • Provide proposal/RFP administrative support to sales team

Other Essential Functions

  • Travel to attend conferences, events, and other work-related activities as required
  • Participate in department and company meetings, as requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle, process and dynamics
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations with all sized audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Requirements:

Experience

  • A minimum of two years of proven sales experience required
  • Experience working in Mental health, behavioral health, or with EAP required
  • Telemarketing/cold calling experience preferred
  • Behavioral health and consultative sales experience preferred

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, required
  • Emphasis in business and/or psychology, preferred
