Sales Rep - Industrial adhesive tapes used for car interior in the automotive industry

Office location: Troy, MI

*Note: In addition to the current office location in Troy, MI, you will be working from home for this sales role. Your home office must be in or around the Troy area to be close to automotive suppliers.

Our client is a well-known international manufacturing company which produces and sells industrial tapes, and thermal interface materials which are used for car seats, room mirrors, and so on. We are currently looking for an outside sales rep who can sell industrial tapes to automotive suppliers in the Midwest region, including Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, and Tennessee for our client.

At this sales rep role, you will be responsible for maintaining great business relationships with existing customers, as well as for developing new accounts with automotive suppliers in the Midwest region, including Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, and Tennessee. Sales Rep will be participating in trade shows to promote industrial adhesive tapes used for car interior.

Our client produces and sells industrial adhesive tapes and thermal interface materials which are used for car seats, room mirrors, and so on. So, an ideal candidate has had work exp with such automotive applications, chemicals, or foam products.

Some of the minimum qualification requirements:

• 5+ years of sales experience in the related products in the automotive industry.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, chemicals or a related field.
• Able to use PDF, Excel, PowerPoint, and etc..
• Able to travel roughly 35% of the time by plane and car.
• Able to start within 2 weeks if you receive a job offer. You can work from home, but your home office must be located in or around the Troy area in Michigan to be close to customers which are automotive suppliers.
• Authorized to work in the US permanently without a visa sponsorship.
• A valid US driver's license and a car. (Please note, that there is no public transportation near the facilities.)
• If you are familiar with the Japanese business culture, that's helpful. (Some of their customers are Japanese speakers.)
• A team player. Great communication skills. Detail-oriented.

Compensation: up to $110,000/yr max

FLSA status: Exempt

Relocation support: $1,000 ～ $5,000 max
