Nexus Therapy is now hiring a part-time RN school nurse that is available to work on-site with a great school district near lovely Las Vegas, Nevada, for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This position pays $62 per hour with up to 4 billable hours per week worked (1 day, for 4 hours per week). You would be working with students in grades K-4, assisting with Medication/Epi/Naloxone, and other required training, as well as Kindergarten screenings, IEP meetings, and Health Office Visits/logging things into IC. Must be licensed as a RN through the Nevada State Board of Nursing license and a School Nurse Endorsement through the Nevada Department of Education.

Duties:
- Provide medical care for elementary-aged student, as needed and ride the bus with the student to/from school
- Administer first aid and emergency care as needed
- Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses
- Administer medications and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized care plans for students

Requirements:
- Valid RN license in the state of Nevada
- Experience working with children in a school setting, preferred
- Familiarity with family planning principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
