Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Associate Facilities Planner/Facilities Planner. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Plans utilization of space and facilities for company consistent with requirements of organizational efficiency, and available facilities and funds.
Plans, directs, and manages all phases of equipment and machinery maintenance, facilities modification and building projects from establishment of design concepts through design and implementation.
Leads and supports SDS facilities sit supplies ordering and procurement.
Supports SDS facilities equipment, personnel, and space planning consistent with requirements of organizational efficiency, and available facilities and funds.
Ensures project requirements are defined, contract and contract changes are negotiated, operating budgets established, and financial terms/conditions of contract are identified.
Acts as primary contact for facilities, and equipment and machinery maintenance, project activities and leads project reviews of cost, schedule and technical performance.
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans, budgets and schedules.
Identifies problems and develops solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing project scope.
Work as primary point of contact to manage and solve space requests.
Schedule and attend meetings with requestors to discuss, analyze, and document space requirements and layouts.
Develop and maintain long-term Division strategic space plan that aligns with SDS portfolio baseline.
Facilitate seating solutions for all employees and interns, including optimum utilization of all spaces.
Work with program counterparts to collect current staffing demand plan and assign space for COCO5 site as well as long range planning for programs future expansion or seating/space requests.
Develop and analyze space metrics, prepare charts and briefings as needed to provide the Division with visualization material necessary to understand the overall utilization of the spaces.
Assists with other Division projects to include: phases relocations/reshuffle plans, facility reconfigurations, site openings, division requirements management, and Space Planning change board requests.
This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate Facilities Planner: 0 years with Bachelors; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Facilities Planner: 3 years with Bachelors; 1 year with Masters; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
In scope active DoD Clearance, Secret level or above.
3 years' experience leading Facilities/Operations/Space Planning projects.
Prior Northrop Grumman experience in facilities, space planning, construction management, and integration.
Experience supporting Northrop Grumman or government contracting/DoD facilities.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all stakeholders and SDS leadership.
5+ years of ICBM experience.
