Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Seafood Clerk to join our team. As a Seafood Clerk, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling and preparing seafood products, and ensuring food safety standards are met. If you have a passion for seafood and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Duties: - Assist customers in selecting seafood products and provide recommendations - Clean, fillet, and portion seafood according to customer preferences - Package seafood products for display and sale - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the seafood department - Follow proper food handling and safety procedures - Receive and inspect seafood deliveries for quality and freshness - Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed - Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns Skills: - Knowledge of seafood varieties, cuts, and cooking methods - Experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred - Strong knife skills for cutting and filleting seafood - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly manner - Basic understanding of food production and culinary techniques - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
