About the job:

We are currently seeking Seasonal Food Packagers for our manufacturing team. The primary responsibility for the role is packaging of finished fudge products, performing quality checks, cutting, labeling, and weighing that the products meet all of our specifications. The operator must strictly adhere to the procedures provided by Calico and the FDA and HACCP to produce safe and high-quality products.

This is a temporary position and the schedule is 4 ten hour days (Tuesday - Friday 7:00AM - 6:00PM)

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all finished fudge products meet specifications and commitment to quality
• Keep the flow going with the assembly line or pace of production
• Cutting fudge using a wire cutter or cutting knife
• Weigh and pack product on the assembly line
• Inspecting and labeling all containers
• Packing all finished products to the shipping carton
• Maintaining a safe and clean workspace
• Utilizing the pan washer to clean racks and fudge pans

Qualifications:

• High School or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
• 1-2 years food manufacturing experience is a plus
• Ability to communicate (read & write) in English
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time (10 hours)

Job Type: Temporary/Hourly

Schedule: Tuesday – Friday (10 Hour Shift; 7:00AM - 6:00PM)

Salary: $18.00/Hour
