The selected candidate will perform various security duties as outlined by contract requirements and site specific post orders. These duties may include:

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

1. Provide the tenants and visitors of each customer’s property with an experience that will always be remembered and with the highest level of responsiveness: meet and greet each individual entering or exiting the property.

2. Project an approachable and professional image in personal appearance, manner, and demeanor.

3. Assure prompt and positive action on any resident/tenant complaints, questions, concerns and suggestions, as well as conduct quality assurance follow-up; respond to inquiries regarding services and building issues.

4. Listen and work with management and tenants, who present service opportunities that other staff employees cannot resolve. Attempt to resolve them and/or elevate to the Property Manager when matters are outside scope or ability.

5. Serve as information liaison to the Property Manager.

6. Maintain consistent presence at workstation or lobby desk to best of the ability of the security concierge.

7. Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment.

8. When so directed, participate in building organization events and functions.

9. Use professional telephone etiquette in handling resident requests. Use a work order system when/if necessary.

10. Assist and coordinate with new move-ins as necessary.

11. Provide administrative assistance with tenants, ledger cards, which may include work telephone, number of vehicles parked on property, license numbers, assigned parking number/permit, and emergency information.

12. Provide access control services and remain vigilant of all visitors and their purpose for being on property.

13. Provide continuous updates, edits, reviews, and additions to the electronic database (list of vendors, restaurants, service providers, etc.).

Job Scope
Recurring work situations with occasional variations from the norm. This job involves a moderate degree of complexity. Operates from established and well-known procedures typically but may have to use a high degree of creativity in meeting the individual needs of residents. Operates independently with minimal supervision.

Interpersonal Contacts

Fulfills the needs of tenants and visitors by providing services on-site, through the use of both phone and face-to-face interactions. Contacts sometimes contain confidential/sensitive information; position requires the ability to use the utmost discretion.

Specific Job Skills:

- Must demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor, serving as an ambassador for the company, and encouraging other employees to do the same.

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedural manuals.

- Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

- Requires strong communication, organizational, decision-making and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to be detail-oriented while maintaining thorough follow-through.

- Ability to multi-task and to work well under pressure.

- Requires professional demeanor with ability to use independent judgment to handle any customer services matters in a satisfactory manner.

- Proficiency with electronic resources such as Internet search, Outlook and Word.

- Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and use phone. Ability to lift to 20 pounds. Requires the use of close and distance vision.

Education and/or Experience
Prefer one year of prior hospitality experience. Some higher education or vocational training specializing in the hospitality industry desired. Good geographic knowledge of the surrounding area.

Job Conditions
Have flexibility to work different shifts. Frequent interruptions may occur. Maintain a clean cut and professional appearance, including possession of at least two two-piece dark colored business suits or uniform of choice from management.

Duties:

- Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of unauthorized entry or activity
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems
- Conduct regular security checks of the premises
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Provide assistance and support to customers, employees, and visitors
- Enforce company policies and procedures
- Write detailed incident reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary

Requirements:

- Valid Security Officer license or certification for North Carolina perferred.
- Proven experience in security or related field (law enforcement, military, etc.)
- Strong conflict management skills
- Familiarity with surveillance systems, CCTV, and access control systems
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Schedule - Monday through Friday day shift. Must be able to work either 8am till noon or noon till 4pm. 4 hour shifts.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
