Job Description

Update: 1 year working in food distribution warehouse.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 7PM until work is completed. Typically it will be a Monday or Wednesday they have off with a Friday off every 2 or 3 weeks depending on staffing. They do not work on Saturdays.

***MAX PAY RATE $20.00***
Interviews will be scheduled Monday - Wednesday 8PM to 10PM in person.

OT: very minimal
Working in/OK working in a cold environment (38-40 degrees)

Manager will be conducting interviews in person.

0-3 Years of Experience, Responsible for operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, selecting the correct products from warehouse racking, labeling product using SOS label technology, palletizing product as it is selected to build customer orders, and delivering product to the dock in a safe and efficient manner. Hand selects orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer, operates assigned SOS unit to create labels, correctly places labels on product, stacks product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures (e.g., no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.), stages pallets for loading on proper dock locations, stretch-wraps product on loading dock, maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, SOS unit, and personal protective equipment, and performs pre and post-trip inspections of equipment. Must follow SyscoSafe preferred work methods at all times and follow sanitation requirements in order to comply with policy set forth by Sysco and by AIB (American Institute of Baking). This position requires working until all products are accurately selected and loaded including potential overtime on holidays and weekends. Essential skills include the ability to meet or exceed minimum efficiency levels established through an engineered production standard, working rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift in a fast paced environment, meeting or exceeding established cases per error goals, and developing a good working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures. Basic requirements include being over the age of 18, the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements, basic arithmetic skills, and adequate physical fitness to lift up to 100 lbs regularly. Preferred requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Reports to Night Warehouse Manager / Supervisor.
