ABOUT THE JOB

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage a large-scale, multi-year project developing base-wide hydrogeologic Conceptual Site Models (CSMs) utilizing Environmental Sequence Stratigraphy (ESS) at multiple Air Force installations. In addition, the Senior Project Manager will manage additional small to large-scale PFAS and environmental remediation projects for various federal agencies.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will manage all aspects of these projects including client relationships, schedules, budgets, and profitability through comprehensive project completion. You will collaborate with project teams to ensure contractual requirements are met and exceeded. The Senior Project Manager works with and mentors other Project Managers and the Technical team to ensure their knowledge is shared and utilized throughout all projects.

Job Functions:

  • Ensure Tepa Core Values are being practiced by all Tepa staff.
  • Manages multiple environmental remediation, compliance, investigation, and technical support projects for Department of Defense (DoD) or other Federal government clients.
  • Provides daily direct project support to DoD and Federal government clients.
  • Manages concurrent project schedules and budgets.
  • Manages the project and its execution from proposal through closeout.
  • Facilitates the planning and performance of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Manages every aspect of the project management process including securing consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and specialty contractors.
  • Develops work plans and manages project staffing.
  • Leads the project team and tracks project progress.
  • Plans, schedules, and manages project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Develops and presents reports and presentations defining project progress, challenges, and solutions for clients
  • Oversees deliverable quality control.
  • Performs budget development and forecasting including estimates to complete, accounting for remaining risks.
  • Maintains continuous communication with the project team and senior management, resolving challenges.
  • Works with technical, Proposal Management, and Business Development staff to support proposal development.
  • Writes Technical Approaches and other proposal documents as required.
  • Works with Leadership Team and staff to ensure Tepa Employees are being treated fairly and their concerns are being addressed.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field. Master’s degree in a similar field preferred
  • Licensed Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) or eligibility to obtain registration
  • Minimum of 10 years of environmental project management experience to include remediation, compliance, investigations and/or restoration
  • Capability of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated understanding of project financials
  • Ability and desire to build rapport with field staff, office staff, clientele, Tepa management staff, subcontractors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform at a high level under stringent project deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize required tasks to meet multiple schedule deadlines
  • Awareness of potential clients, competition, and teaming partners
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel
  • Dedicated attention to detail

Preferred, not required:

  • Federal and DoD project management experience
  • Experience managing projects over $5M in value
  • PMP or other project management-related certifications
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation
  • Familiarity with Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC), Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) programs and Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), and United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) clients
